Barry offers helicopter underslung aerial delivery cargo nets (HUSLE) and lifting nets to military and commercial operators.
These products are designed to meet or exceed the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Stanag technical criteria for external cargo carrying nets.
Typical nets have a maximum load limit of 2,500 kg (5,500 lbs), 5,000 kg (11,000 lbs), 7,000 kg (15,000 lbs) and 10,000 kg (22,000 lbs).
The range of helicopter external cargo carrying nets consists of multiple tension members (lifting legs) which support a mesh assembly on which the load is placed. Helicopters require a cargo hook in order to engage the net Apex (or longline strap or lifting sling connected to the net) in order to lift the cargo net assembly. The apex collects and connects the lifting legs for interface with the helicopter or longline, strap or sling.
